My name is Reyka Jayasinghe. My mother and father somehow met in California after venturing over the pond from Uganda and Sri Lanka. I was born and raised in Los Angeles California and attended college at San Francisco State University majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology and minoring in Math and Chemistry.
Currently I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington University in St. Louis. Broadly I study cancer genomics and spend most of my time developing computational tools to analyze large scale sequencing data. Recently I have become familiar with single-nuclei and single-cell isolation from frozen and fresh human tissue, respectively, and utilize the 10X Next GEM Technology to produce our data. Cancer types include: breast, pancreatic, cervical and multiple myeloma. I have extensive experience generating and analyzing the single-cell/nuclei data produced by our pipeline.
